Will your passport remain valid for the duration of your stay? Do you have all necessary travel authorizations (such as a visa)? Note the accommodation address and contact number in case you're asked by immigration officials. Notify your bank that you'll be travelling to France to avoid having your card(s) blocked. Do you have travel insurance? Be sure to also check with your insurance if you're covered for lost or stolen items, such as electronics. Take a COVID-19 self-test, if you can get your hands on one. You wouldn't want to infect other people at the conference or on the plane. == Your Accommodation Details == === Conference Accommodation === According to our records, you're registered to stay in conference-organized accommodation [7] on the following days: Check-in: July 9, 2025 Checkout: July 20, 2025 Room: AT19 You need to come to the conference Front Desk to check in, before you can get access to the accommodation. [7]: https://debconf25.debconf.org/about/accommodation/ == What to Bring == Yourself. A hat. Even if temperatures are not as high as in other parts of France, it may be sunny and hot in Brest, especially since we are already facing heat waves in Europe. A hat (preferably broad-brimmed) is essential. Also consider carrying a raincoat, Brest has a maritime climate and rains is likely. Refillable bottle. Bring a bottle that you can refill with water. Contrary to previous years, we are not providing any bottle along with the swag. Bring something that is confortable for you to use, especially for the daytrips. Europe is facing heat waves, so it is especially important to keep yourself hydrated. Mosquito spray if you're sensitive. Printed PGP/GPG fingerprint slips, if you want to have your key signed by your peers. There will be an organized continuous keysigning for attendees with pre-registered fingerprints. You will be able to obtain a printed copy of PGP/GPG keysigning participant list from the Front Desk. Something to contribute to the Cheese and Wine party! If you're traveling to France from abroad, please take a moment to check customs regulations before packing your goodies. You're generally allowed to bring food items that don't contain meat or dairy. However, fresh fruit, vegetables, meat, and unpasteurized dairy products are usually prohibited. These rules help protect local agriculture from pests and diseases - so it's best to double-check before you fly.
